Mo Michael Jackson

Some preview pix from the upcoming book Neverland

The mighty Motown Records left Detroit in 1971 to land in the sunnier and less riot ravaged climes of Los Angeles. A new musical chapter began and foremost in this soul vanguard were the precociously talented Jackson 5. With Motown’s move to LA one chapter closed in the history of the greatest black-owned music operation in US history. Yet another opened with the emergence of Michael Jackson and his talented siblings.

Raised in Gary, Indiana by their ex-musician father Joe Jackson
Michael in particular came into contact with Joe’s fervid desire to fulfil his drive for his children’s success.
