The Jackson 5 enjoyed a spate of hits, I Want You Back, ABC, I’ll Be There, The Love You Save, Rockin’ Robin, and they continued to enjoy major success all the way through to the early eighties.
Michael’s solo album Off The Wall, produced by the ubiquitous Quincy Jones, produced a four Number One hit run in 1982 Michael Jackson released Thriller, the best selling recording of all time, selling over 100 million copies. Both the title song Thriller and the accompanying video, with voiceover by horror star Vincent Price were landmarks in pop music history.

At the Motown 25th Anniversary Concert in 1983, Jackson debuted one of his most legendary career defining moments, the introduction of the “moonwalk” whilst performing Billie Jean.

He seemed to go from strength to strength, but got badly burned while filming a Pepsi commercial. He met the President, and toured again with The Jacksons (Victory Tour) he recorded We Are The World and bought The Beatles catalogue, after recording with Paul McCartney.
